With a decade of experience spanning construction, property management, local law compliance, and sales, Evan Shapiro serves as the Director of Business Development at HLZAE. In this role, he is responsible for driving sales growth, cultivating relationships with both existing and prospective
clients, and optimizing sales processes. Evan’s expertise also extends to discovering and developing new business opportunities, ensuring that clients have a reliable point of contact within a dynamic and fast-paced architectural and engineering firm. His approach is to handle sales and administrative tasks, allowing the A/E team to focus on their core work and ultimately increasing operational efficiency.

Among his most notable projects, Evan contributed to One Vanderbilt, a towering landmark adjacent to Grand Central Terminal. This massive undertaking required a high level of coordination and exposed him to the full spectrum of building and construction challenges. Additionally, over the past five years, Evan has played a pivotal role in a variety of local law compliance projects. These initiatives, which focus on maintaining large building portfolios in good standing with the City and the Department of Buildings, ensure compliance to mitigate the risk of violations, fines, and penalties, offering clients confidence that their properties are safeguarded and well-managed.
