Christos’ experience includes the exterior restoration of 90 Church Street, a 15-story federal office building, completed in 1935 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. His responsibilities involved managing the Façade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP) and Façade Restoration campaigns for roughly ten years. The project scope generally included limestone masonry repairs of the facades, brick masonry and waterproofing repairs of embedded steel structure at the main roof parapet walls, and monitoring of an impressed cathodic protection (ICCP) system installed at select exterior corner column locations.
At 320 East 43rd Street, a registered landmark also known as the Ford Foundation, Christos provided design and construction administration consulting services for the exterior envelope restoration. Christos was responsible for construction document preparation and day-to-day management through the duration of the project, from bidding to construction. The restoration scope included repairing the granite masonry, concrete, and glazed Cor-Ten steel facades. Additionally, Christos and his team provided a full roofing assembly replacement; exterior plaza paver and waterproofing assembly replacement; and interior atrium planter and paver waterproofing assembly replacement.
Christos studied Architecture at New York Institute of Technology, is a Certified Industrial Rope Access Inspector through the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT) and is a member of the Association for Preservation Technology Northeast Chapter (APTNE).
