Getting to know Ailene Brown…

Meet Ailene Brown, Director of People & Culture at HLZAE. With a zest for life and over six years of experience in Human Resources, Ailene is not just a recruiter; she is a guardian of company culture and a beacon for employee well-being.

With her infectious pizzazz and remarkable people skills, Ailene waltzed into HLZAE, driven by the belief that work is a gift—one that illuminates both colleagues and the organization. As the Director of People & Culture, she strives to foster an environment where everyone feels not just heard but embraced, encouraging open dialogue about both professional and personal matters.

Beyond the boardroom, Ailene continues her role as multitasking expert. She finds solace whether effortlessly balancing the intricacies of hot yoga, family life with two kids on the Lower East Side or showcasing her talents as a seasoned bass player and singer. Ailene’s spare time also includes mastering UCB improv levels and successfully completing three standup comedy classes.

Originating from Guam, Ailene’s diverse journey encompasses advocating for Guam decolonization at the UN. She also holds active licenses to practice law in New York and New Jersey, and has mastered the complexities of garages, landlords, divorces, wills, and courtrooms. Believe it or not, she is an introvert!

For Ailene, the pursuit of finding the right people isn’t just a job; it’s an everlasting project fueled by a genuine appreciation for the remarkable individuals who call HLZAE home.
