HLZAE’s Latest Additions

Shana Kurtz joins us as a Project Manager. Shana’s previous work experience includes a lengthy period at URS Corporation/AECOM as an Assistant Project Manager and Construction Manager and prior to that she worked as a Project Manager at Helpern Architects.  She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from City College of New York and her Associates of Applied Science in Interior Design from FIT.

Gabriel Gavidia joins us as a Project Associate. He has a background in construction management, and in architecture and engineering consulting. He also has experience designing, drafting, managing, and supervising construction projects in NYC. He graduated with a BA in Architecture from Venezuela and has knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup.

Ailene Brown joins us as our People and Culture Manager. Ailene previously worked in an HR position at a tech company and also went to law school. She is originally from Guam, which is where most of her family is still residing.

Armando Vuksanaj joins us as Project Associate in our MEP Department. He was born in Albania and grew up in the Bronx. He completed his education at New York Institute of Technology, and has previously worked as a Building Engineer at The Apthorp.

Leon Geoxavier joins us as a Senior Project Manager. Leon earned both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Certificate in Preservation Studies (Historic Preservation) at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.  He is a Registered Architect in the State of New York and State of New Jersey, and Quality Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) in New York City.
